Senior Stress Reduction
On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Peer Team put on an event for seniors about stress management. Ms. Pardalis-Johnson came to talk to the group about how to manage stress and anxiety. She reminded students of the bigger picture in life and taught them how to make decisions to improves one's life.
After her talk, students rotated through stations of activities that help them understand and manage stress. Some of these activities included making stress balls, coloring, making song playlists, learning breathing exercises, and a participating in a juggling activity to show how juggling too many objects (responsibilities) is unmanageable. The event went great! Students learned about managing stress from the talk and enjoyed the fun, interactive activities.
